Of the myriad of furniture and architectural designs created by Eero Saarinen, the Pedestal Series and Saarinen  Tulip Table continue to be the most iconic.  The series was introduced in New York in 1958 and was a full series of furnishings that included tulip dining tables, tulip coffee tables, tulip side tables, side chairs, and armchairs.  Though a lounge chair was designed, it was not put into mass production.  Saarinen’s Pedestal Series met with great response and the series quickly turned into a commercial success. 

Our Saarinen Tables are a masterful reproduction of the original Saarinen table. Absolute attention is paid to the workmanship of the stone and base, which creates a modern classic that lasts for years. The Saarinen table base is available in matte white or black, glossy white or black, or matte silver. The Saarinen tabletop is available in a wide variety of stones and laminates, including the ever-popular white Carrara and black Marquina.  

This Saarinen Tulip Table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 28 1/4" in height. The Saarinen table base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs.  Saarinen table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
